U.S. Route 40, once a major travel corridor between New York and DC, played a key role in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. At the center of it: Cecil County. This program will explore the local stories that once made international headlines, from the arrival of the Freedom Riders to the political tensions that sparked a turn in our nation's history.
